Violet Box (September 2014)

My Violet Box arrived and I am feeling super excited to experiment with some new beauty goodies! The September edition of Violet Box came packaged in their signature white box with a black drawer. This is the 3rd time I've received my Violet box in this form and I really love it as the drawers are very useful for organising my makeup, stationery, hair accessories etc.

The contents in my September Violet Box included a selection of dry shampoo, nail treatment, nail polish, eye-shadow and eye pencil. It's great to see a wide selection between hair, makeup and nail products!

Scandalous Fabulously Flirty Dry Shampoo (A$16.95/150ml, full-sized product received) - I enjoy the convenience of using dry shampoo after a workout at the gym or when I'm in a rush and don't have the chance to wash my hair. Scandalous Fabulously Flirty Dry Shampoo is an interesting type of dry shampoo that is formulated using corn starch to absorb excess oil from the scalp. The scent is quite strong and has a woody-based scent, which isn't a scent that I would call my favourite. Despite the scent, my scalp and hair feels fresh and clean after a couple of sprays from this spray can.

Foltene Nail Treatment (A$29.95/10ml, full-sized product received) - I was first exposed to the brand Foltene when I received their Eye Lash and Eye Brow Treatment, in my August edition of Violet Box, that I am still using 'til this day. My nails are dry and somewhat brittle, so this Nail Treatment is definitely one that I would use to strengthen and lengthen my nails. The sponge tip applicator makes it very easy to apply a thin layer over the bed of my nails. You could also use this formula over nail polish. Fingers crossed that my nails become stronger and healthier!

I love playing with colour cosmetics, which is why I was feeling super excited when I opened up my Violet Box to reveal 3 colour cosmetic products!

Polished London Nail Enamel (A$8/10ml, full-sized product received) -  I received the shade 'Big Ben', which is a gorgeous pastel blue shade. This shade is perfect to wear during this Spring season!

Girlactik Eyeshadow (A$23/2.5g, full-sized product received) - This cute and compact eye shadow in the shade 'Pink Ruffle' is a pretty metallic baby pink shade. I've been using this cute shade as a highlighter by applying a tiny amount to the inner corners of my eyes and below my brow bone. I love how this shade can be used to highlight areas of my eyes. Due to the metallic sheen of this shade, I wouldn't suggest to use it as an all-over eyeshadow.

Starlooks Ultra Olive Gem Pencil (A$21.50, 2.4g, full-sized product received) - The shade I received is an Olive Green shade that applies on to appear like a metallic gold shade. Starlooks eye pencil is an amazing eye pencil as it provides intense pigmentation, has good lasting-power and is very easy to give eyes a dramatic look!

I am very happy with the contents I received in my September Violet Box. I've already started using every single product since I received my Violet Box subscription, so double thumbs up!! The products I received were all full-sized products, which is very generous of Violet Box!

Violet Box beauty subscriptions cost A$22.95/month, A$68/3 months, A$137/6 months or A$250/year and you will receive a surprise Violet Box containing 5-6 beauty treats (full/sample-size) at your door step every month. For more information on Violet Box, please click here
