Review: L'Occitane Fleurs de Cerisier Cherry Blossom Solid Perfume

Fleurs de Cerisier Cherry Blossom is one of L'Occitane's best selling floral signature scents and today I will be reviewing the solid perfume. I am an avid user of perfume in the form of Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum, however,  I have not used Solid Perfume until now.

L'Occitane-''The cherry tree is part of the Provencal landscape, and is widespread in the Apt region. This tree changes colors with the seasons, a source of inspiration for local artists: pure white in spring, bright red in summer, soft green in autumn...''

Fleurs de Cerisier Cherry Blossom Solid Perfume is housed in a tin-like container with a slip-on lid. The design of Fleurs de Cerisier is simple and basic, however, the packaging itself is a little flimsy. I found that the lid slips off too easily and does not fit on tightly. The idea of solid perfumes is to have this stored in your handbag/travel bag or in your school/uni/office drawer for touch ups. While the later is the perfect place to store solid perfume, I prefer to keep this in my handbag so that I would always have this lovely scent of Fleurs de Cerisier on me. Due to the ease of the lid to part from the base I keep this in a small cosmetic bag in my handbag to keep it secure.

The scent of Fleurs de Cerisier is a very feminine and delicate scent of floral Cherry Blossom. Uplifting, divine and very floral! The scent is not overpowering but very light and lovely. One of the core ingredients is natural Prunus Cerasus extract which is the Cherry Blossom scent. I always apply a small amount to my neck and inner wrist and the scent lasts a few good hours.

I think solid perfumes are such an innovative product I really do hope more perfume companies would produce their scents in the form of solid perfume. Since there are restrictions with bringing EDT and EDP perfumes on board a plane, solid perfume is the perfect solution to travelling whilst smelling lovely!

The range of Solid Perfumes available at L’Occitane includes the Cheery Blossom (10g, A$19.95), Fleur Cherie Heart (10g, A$19.95) and Rose 4 Reines Solid Perfume (9g, A$14).
